Dear Lord,
We pray Your children would feel Your presence as they leave each morning for school. Bless them and keep them, Lord.
Bring them help when they need it—whether it’s help learning a skill, a tutor’s assistance, someone to explain a concept in a way they can understand it, the ability to test calmly, emotional support to navigate their school community, safety in sports, and whatever else they might need.
Lord, help all our teachers to feel Your peace and strength and to have Your hope and insight for students who struggle in different ways.
We pray for Your peace and guidance for families shifting schedules, that they are able to navigate all the changes in Your shalom peace.
We thank You, Lord, for connecting students with good new friends at school and for reconnection with old friends in healthy and supportive ways. Help students to be an encouragement to someone who needs an uplifting smile that day.
Help each student know how precious they are to You. Help them find the help they need when it feels like the bottom is falling out. Help them recover from broken relationships with comfort, healing, and peace.
Help each student to practice kindness and be protected from bullying, even as we pray for Your help for those who bully others out of their own pain and hurt.
We pray You will keep our school grounds and classrooms safe, and keep kids safe on buses, bicycles, in cars, and on foot to and from school and school events.
Help our students and teachers to feel thankful and blessed for the privilege to learn and to have community.
Help our students discover class subjects, skills, and activities they are passionate about learning and being involved in.
Help students and their families enjoy the end of the school day, reflecting on good things, getting help for challenges, and being together with family. For those students that don’t have much family present, we pray that they would find a bigger family in a safe place like a church or community group.
Let each day end with a blessing and awareness of Your loving presence.
